New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has announced that the 19th annual GEM Awards and the third annual Jewelers of America National Convention will be held virtually in 2021. GEM Awards, the industry’s premier awards gala that honors individuals and brands whose work raises the visibility and status of fine jewelry and watches, will take place virtually on Thursday, July 15, 2021. The JA Virtual National Convention, an education-focused executive forum open to Jewelers of America members and their staff, will take place on July 19 and 20, 2021.

New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has announced Bond, a personal security platform, as its newest Member Benefit Partner. Bond enables staff of jewelry companies access to a suite of fifteen personal security services for every situation, whether they are uneasy or in danger. Jewelers of America Members will receive a discount off monthly rates on the platform.

New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, and National Jeweler, the must-read news source for jewelry professionals, have released the results of a jewelry industry survey on diversity and racial inequities. The survey, deployed in the wake of the protests for racial justice, was created by the organizations to better understand the experiences of black professionals in the fine jewelry industry as well as learn about inclusion policies and experiences related to racial discrimination.

New York, NY – The Jewelers Relief Fund, a GoFundMe account designed to collect donations for independent jewelers whose stores sustained physical damage during recent acts of looting across the country, has distributed raised funds to affected jewelers. The Jewelers Relief Fund was organized by Diamond Council of America (DCA) – a nationally accredited school that offers jewelers the opportunity to earn professional certifications in diamonds, colored gemstones, and fine jewelry sales through distance education and Jewelers of America (JA) – the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace.
